Gordon Lyon (Lead)

Gordon William McKenzie Lyon is a member of Partick Curling Club (founded 1842), which is a founder member club of Dunbartonshire Tenth Province (1860).

Curling History – Gordon was introduced to curling by his Father and started curling at school in1977 - he has played ever since, although without much improvement, I’m told.  He spent over 30 years in London as a Member of the English Curling Association before returning to Scotland in 2005.

Gordon is currently in his last year as President of the English Curling Association, and is a Founding Member of Margarita Curling Club (1994), which hosts an International Bonspiel in North America every second year - in October 2026 in Kelowna BC.

He has curled all over the World, including Moscow, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Madison and throughout Europe, and was previously part of the RCCC Men’s Tour to Switzerland in 2009.

Gordon has attended several World Curling Championships, the best being in Las Vegas.

Ambition – to have a fantastic US Tour with great curling and fabulous experiences.
