Stephen McClymont (Skip)

Stephen McClymont (Tour Secretary) started curling as a schoolboy in the early 1980's at Kelvinside Academy in Glasgow. The motivation for taking up the sport was that it posed a far more attractive alternative to double physics on a Friday afternoon. He has since gone on to enjoy the game at a modestly competitive level and participate in most national competitions with the highlight (so far) of his curling CV being competing in the Strathcona Cup for Scotland on the RCCC Tour of Canada in 2023.
Stephen is a member of Kelvinside Academical curling club (his mother club in Dunbartonshire Tenth Province) where he served as Honorary Secretary from 2002 to 2010 and President from 2006 to 2008. Stephen is also an active member of Reform curling club in Renfrewshire Twelth Province.
Stephen is originally from Ayrshire and now lives in Kilmacolm, Renfrewshire with his wife Sarah. They have two daughters Lucy, 25 and Cara, 22.

Stephen has been a keen golfer for most of his life and currently boasts a handicap of 12 - which he has played nowhere near now for several years! Occasional follower of Greenock Morton Football Club. (Soccer, to those that believe football to be something diffferent) Music & Films, Food and Wine, Travel & Good Times. |
