Alistair Crozier (Third)
(Pitkerro Curling Club)

Alistair is the Vice-Captain on the tour, and is playing third in Tommy Campbell's rink.

Alistair's mother club is Pitkerro Curling Club (https://www.pitkerrocc.co.uk), who are part of the Dundee and District Province 

Alistair started curling in 2012 after being invited by one of his farm clients to a try curling session being run by Pitkerro curling club. Alistair, his wife Janet and one of his daughters joined the club as it was a sport they could play together.

He has played in all positions and had variable success within the club and local leagues. He is currently the local North East Area Standing Committee rep (https://www.scottishcurling.org/about-us/areas/) and sits on the Dundee and District Province committee(https://dundeeprovince.curling.org.uk).  Pitkerro play at Forfar Indoor Sports Centre (https://www.fis.scot), and he also plays at Dundee Ice Arena where the curling is organised by Curl Dundee (https://curl-dundee.org.uk).

Alistair was born in Carlisle in the North of England.  He studied veterinary medicine in Edinburgh where he met his Scottish wife, and moved to work as a vet in Scotland after qualifying.  He and his wife have two daughters, both born in Stirling, and have now settled near his wife’s family on a small farm on the outskirts of Dundee.

Alistair worked for 23 years as a farm, equine & zoo vet in his veterinary practice, and has recently retired and now spends more time with his varied collection of animals (Traditional Blue Faced Leicester sheep, Pygmy Goats, alpacas, honey bees, hens, dogs and cats), growing flowers and vegetables and curling.

Alistair toured Canada as part of the Scotland Squad that contested the Strathcona Cup in 2023.  He wanted to tour the US after receiving a very warm welcome on his only previous visit to the US when he was attending a veterinary alpaca conference at Ohio State University in 2018.   After discovering he had some time between the conference finishing and his flight,  he contacted Colombus Curling Club to enquire about the possibility of having a game of curling, they very kindly agreed and were so welcoming afterwards in the bar he nearly missed the flight home.
