Recently retired beef and sheep farmer - I have spent the last year building (helping to build) our new home on the farm.

My wife Liz, also a keen curler, was a member of the Scottish ladies’ tour to the USA in 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience, one reason why I wanted to come this time.

We have 2 daughters, Sara and Clare, and 2 granddaughters, Merrin 14, a rugby player and Talia 11 who plays the bagpipes

I started curling when I was 14 years old with the young farmers and started playing regularly in 1980.

I play for Ayton Castle Curling Club (mother club) and Duns Curling club, both in the Borders Province and also help out as a part-time ice tech at Border ice rink.

Although born in Scotland, we have lived, just over the border near Wooler, Northumberland, England for the last 48 years.
